PAT'S WOULD LOVE TO ADD TAYLOR
Recently, there has been talk about the New England Patriots trying to land defensive end Jason Taylor. Taylor would be a great pick up, if the Patriots could get him, mainly becasue he is a proven defensive end. He is a pro-bowler, he has made every team he has played for better defensively. Although, the Patriots are not the only team interested in signing Taylor, also the Miami Dolphins are also in the running. This doesn't seem like a shocker to me, becasue Taylor is a former Miami Dolphin and they know what he can do and how valuable a player he really is. Taylor would help out the Patriots defense because he could be used either as a defensive end or linebacker. I feel that Patriots would be more interested in using him as an outside linebacker, with Richard Seymour and Ty Warren as our defensive ends now, Taylor would make a great fit in place of Mike Vrabel. Although some fans are leaning towards not signing Taylor because he is getting old and some say that he is overrated. I think that if the Patriots pick up some younger players in the draft, the verterans on the team, like Taylor is the Patriots land him, can help the rookies develop into well rounded players. On the other hand, there are some reasons why the two other teams released him. It is said that the Dolphins released Taylor because he was "too hollywood" and the Redskins released him becasue he wouldn't work out with the team. With these problems to look at, some teams might see Taylor as a hassel rather than a good addition. Time will tell, to see where Taylor goes this season, but there is not a doubt in my mind that he will be playing some where next season.
